When I travel, I bring my sketchbook along. I also photograph as well for reference for my paintings. In the past couple of years I’ve been to London twice to visit my brother who lives there. Even got to do a side trip to Amsterdam the last time I was there.

Over the years I’ve visited many of Georgia’s unspoiled coastal islands, but this year I had a rare opportunity to spend a week on Cumberland Island. It was part of a photo safari orchestrated by a good friend Gary Gruby. He has unique access to the entire Island which I normally am limited to only what I can walk to. His safaris include not just his car and chauffeur service, but his extensive knowledge of the island and he and his wife’s world-class hospitality and cuisine.
