Gregg Bauer painting

Originally from the Midwest, Gregg has been creating watercolors and pastels for the past 30 years in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the years, Gregg’s graphic design work has included posters for the Piedmont Park Arts Festival, the Druid Hill Tour of Homes and the Atlanta Symphony. He has produced books for two of Atlanta’s restaurant icons: The Varsity and Mary Mac’s Tea Room. In 2004 he was chosen to be a participant in Atlanta’s CowParade sculptures.

For the past decade, Gregg has taught at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) on their Atlanta campus. He has also participated in local art shows in Druid Hills, Buckhead and most recently at Atlanta’s MODA museum in the Mad Men show of Art Directors’ fine art.

Gregg has created watercolors of local landscapes from around Georgia including its coastal islands of Cumberland, Ossabaw, Sapelo, and St. Catherine. Growing up in Ohio, he has done paintings of its rolling hills and Amish countryside. His travels to the Cape Cod area of Massachusetts and Europe have also served as subjects for his paintings and sketches.

Gregg has done portraits of both people and pets, and is available for commissions. Some existing work is available in limited edition prints. Click here for more information.
